OVERVIEW
Reading day is a day typically set aside for students to study, catch up on assignments, and prepare for upcoming final exams. It provides an opportunity for students to take a break from classes and focus solely on their academic responsibilities.
Student Life’s reading day campaign materials were dated and in need of a refresh to align with updated brand standards.
SOLUTION
Because reading day is all about taking a break we wanted to create a fun, lighthearted design that would resonate with students across campus. I decided to do hand lettering for the word mark paired with hand drawn illustrations that aligned with the day’s events and activities. Tapping into our secondary color palette to round out the pieces, our attempt at an approachable uplifting look was a success.
